I just wanted to take a moment of your time to inform you of the wonderful experience we had with Grand Haven Homes. We purchased a home in the Ranch At Brushy Creek in June of 2009, and closed on January 29th, 2010 and couldn't be happier.
Just so you know, I was in the new home business for 10 years, 6 of which were onsite sales in Austin Texas and the other 4 in sales management, plus I have spent another 8 years in residential Real Estate listings and sales. So when it comes to knowledge and expectations, you might say I have a higher level than most clients. Not to mention that this is the third home that my wife and I have built in our 15 years of marriage.
It all started with a tour of the Ranch at Brushy Creek model and some of your homes under construction, and it was obvious to us that based on the quality we saw, the finish out that was far superior to others, and the cleanliness of the job sites, that Grand haven was a builder we would consider working with. We spent about 45-60 days working with Chris Tinnell on pricing and changes and were surprised at every turn to find out that not only did Grand Haven Homes show willingness to help us move toward the home we desired, but also that we weren't being gouged on price just because there were things that needed altering to fit our family.
I had opportunities to talk with folks in your company from sales, estimating, construction, construction management, and at every turn we were pleased with the customer service and desire to satisfy our dreams and needs. But the top reason that I felt compelled to write is the wonderful care and professionalism we received from Jake Gildewell our superintendant.
Jake surprised us at every step of the way from removing his cap when he met my wife to being aware and on top of the little things. He showed a strong ability to manage the many subcontractors in play and it was obvious they respected him. We really enjoyed every turn, good or bad, with jake because we gained confidence that he would do what was right when needed and also be willing to tell us when our expectation was either a bit unclear or out of line ... all the while being tactful and respectful to us as the customer.
I can honestly say that your employees, especially Jake, are what makes your company so great ... oh, and you build a darn nice home too.
